Hever Castle

Hever Castle

Hever Castle is a thirteenth century Castle located in the Garden of England, Kent. Only 40 minutes from Gatwick airport and within in an hour of London. Its history is centred around the early 16th century when it was the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, who was to become the second wife to King Henry VIII and queen of England for 1000 days.

In 1903, Hever Csstle was purchased by William Waldorf Astor. Astor was a genius with huge vision, he refurbished the Castle and added a Tudor style extension, The Astor Wing. He also developed beautiful gardens, created a 38 acre lake, a yew maze and Tudor lawns, an outdoor heated swimming pool and a golf course

Set in 680 acres of glorious Kent countryside, Hever Castle today offers two venue opportunities:

  • The Astor Wing:

Boasting an impressive Tudor style meeting space, The Astor Wing incorporates state of the art audio visual facilities, accommodating meetings for to 60 guests and also offering a sublimely comfortable lounge and Billiards Room.  There is a championship golf course, an outdoor heated swimming pool and a tennis court. There is even the option to incorporate a Private Guided Tour into your event and stay overnight in one of the 32 luxury, 5 star bedrooms.

  • The Guthrie Pavilion in The Italian Garden:

With its lakeside location in the award winning Italian Garden, this versatile, contemporary venue on the Hever Castle Estate, accommodates up to 200 guests for meetings and functions.  Offering the flexibility of being used for either a conference or a gala dinner and being perfectly situated next to our events field allowing for outdoor activities and motorised sports to be incorporated into an event.  A superb venue for summer and Christmas parties.
