Introducing Chilli Productions Ltd.

Hello, I’m Paul, director and owner of Chilli Productions Ltd.

Are you looking to add a little something extra to your next event? Whether it be some ambient lighting for your wedding reception, sound equipment for your band night or a projector for that all important business presentation, at Chilli Productions we totally understand the need to have your creative thoughts transformed into a perfect event. Providing a wide range of services within the events production industry, we can custom build a package to suit your individual needs. From a simple dry hire of lighting, sound or av equipment, to fully tailored production management, with a team organising specialist requirements, we have the ability to make things happen. As I’m sure you’d appreciate, in such a broad industry, to hold everything anyone could possibly want in stock, would be an impossible dream! However, with many professional contacts in every corner of the industry, anything becomes possible…

Although I have worked in the events industry for a quite a while, Chilli Productions is a relatively new venture, but one I aim to make a great success by understanding the needs of clients such as yourselves and delivering a first class service that I can be proud of and you can endorse and recommend. I have personally been involved in several different areas of the industry and worked on a freelance basis for some big household names in many iconic locations. I have a lot of experience of weddings, particularly large Asian weddings. Private parties, barn parties, garden parties & festivals. Marquee installs, product launches, corporate events & fundraisers. School proms, theatrical productions, fashion shows & much much. Although most of my previous work has been based in and around London, I live on the borders of Kent, Surrey & Sussex, where I believe I have found a gap in the market, to which I wish to fill. In quiet times I will continue to work on a freelance basis with other much larger companies, to develop and maintain good working relationships, which could aid any future larger projects that present themselves. Also working alongside a collective group of colleagues, with a combined industry experience of 10’s if not 100’s of years, picking up and developing their ideas and adapting them to suit my own clients needs.

I currently stock lighting, sound, AV and power distribution equipment and have access to much more. If hire were required on a dry hire basis, some knowledge of the equipment would need to be demonstrated prior to contracting a hire agreement. If this isn’t possible a great alternative is wet hire, where, along with the equipment, you are also hiring a technician to install, operate and de-rig the equipment for you. This is often the most hassle. As a qualified electrician, Chilli Productions – Electrical can also take on all domestic, commercial and industrial electrical work to BS7671 standard.

I also hold a BS7909 certificate of competence, which is a relatively new, events specific electrical qualification. This entitles me to sign off a temporary electrical installation as an official “Senior Person Responsible” which many venues are now insisting on so that they can ensure they conform to EaWR and PUWER. This is again another service that I can offer, even as an independent body, whose sole responsibility is ensuring the temporary electrical system is safe and conforms to BS7909. After thoroughly inspecting and testing the installation, signed official documentation and certificates can then be issued. Alternatively, permanent venue installation is another service that we offer. Pubs, bars, clubs, restaurants etc, all require updating a fixed sound system, lighting rig or AV install from time to time. We are more than happy to talk through all the various options and find a solution to any request.

All new equipment obviously carries manufacturers warranties, but usually we will extend the warranty to the installation & workmanship for extra peace of mind. I have public liability insurance with each claim covered up to £10,000,000 for events and £5,000,000 for electrical work.

All equipment is PAT tested on a regular basis and I hold a current CRB certificate. All certificates and qualifications are available upon request. Should you have any questions or would like to inquire about any of the services I can offer. Please feel free to contact me. All inquiries are of course without obligation.

So, Whatever the occasion, add some spice to your event…
